- HOW TO USE CALCIUM HARDNESS INCREASER - With pumps running and water circulating, test total hardness. If less than 250 ppm, add one ounce (two tablespoons) of EcoOne Calcium Hardness Increaser to increase calcium hardness by 10 ppm for every 500 gallons of water. Circulate water for several hours and retest. Repeat until total hardness is within correct range.
