FindTape’s Handrail Grip Tape is a non-abrasive traction tape that helps prevent slips and keeps rails from freezing. This anti-slip solution is made with a PET (polyethylene terephthalate) base, which helps insulate the handrail from cold temperatures. Acting as a barrier from the cold, this helps meet OSHA 29CFR part 1910.23, as well as COF Standards for Americans with Disabilities Act (2008), which require handrails to resist cold temperatures. This soft grip tape can be used both indoors and outdoors and has a dimpled, textured surface made from PVC vinyl that withstands all weather. It looks and feels like soft rubber and provides a water-resistant, long-lasting, and non-abrasive hold. Made to last up to 24 months, it’s made with a solvent acrylic adhesive and has a tack of 6.25 inches. While you can apply our grip tape in a variety of ways, we recommend applying the tape in spirals around a handrail rather than horizontally. This application significantly improves the hold strength on the handrail surface. Using a spiral application provides better coverage and better adhesion by allowing for more surface area of the railing.

• EASY TO APPLY: To apply this anti-slip tape, ensure that the surface is dry, clean, and residue-free. Surface temperature must be over 50°F. Peel back part of the release liner, press the adhesive to the desired surface, then continue pressing down and pulling the liner. For best results, apply in a tight spiral rather than horizontally.
