Mega’Block Hydrophobic Melamine Heat Shield (Peel & Stick) is an aluminum foil-faced fiberglass fabric composite on top of a hydrophobic melamine foam. Specifically designed to reflect radiant heat while offering excellent sound absorbing attributes utilizing an easy peel and stick application. This is an enhanced version of melamine foam with exceptional water-resistance properties maintaining all other key attributes for sound deadening. The open cell surface allows sound waves to penetrate the foam and not reflect as an echo. It is recommended for both acoustical and thermal insulation in aircraft, aerospace, marine, automotive, and architectural applications. Mega'Block's foam is resistant to most organic solvents and meets or exceeds national and international fire safety standards.

• RADIANT HEAT SHIELD: Aluminum foil-faced fiberglass fabric is 98% reflective and applied to the top of our insulating hydrophobic melamine foam and pressure sensitive adhesive backing.
• HYDROPHOBIC MELAMINE FOAM: Open cell foam treated for water, solvent, and heat resistance (Class A fire rated). Meets smoke, fire and toxicity standards while repelling water and handling temperatures up to 1000 F.
• OPEN CELL FOAM SHEET: Open cell foam is the best option for absorbing mid and high frequency sounds in your vehicle. Each melamine foam sheet is 2ft x 2ft (4 sq ft) and weighs about 1/8 of a pound.
