Features the latest lithium-ion rechargeable battery technology which can provide up to 1 hour soldering capacity, and recharges in 20 minutes. This unit is compact, lightweight, mobile, and powerful. The LCD display screen with touch control is easy to use and it's operation is intuitive. Special functions for customized settings include: auto-off, setback timer, offset, °F and °C, and temperature lockout. The WSM1 also features two programmable pre-set temperatures to increase productivity. This unit includes a Weller 40W ergonomically designed micro soldering pencil that provides incomparable comfort and control. The micro pencil features motion sensor technology that initiates power to the pencil after the setback period, which saves energy and extends the tip life. In addition, the heating element is contained in the tip of the micro pencil which allows for 4-second heat-up time with just 40 watts of power. The micro pencil comes with a high efficiency RT3 tip. Additionally, the WSM1 also comes with a safety rest with brass wool tip dry cleaning system. This unit is made in Germany
